CROP is set apart in its holistic approach to reentry and comprehensive services for people coming home from prison
At CROP, justice-involved people receive a continuum of care that truly wraps around the individual by meeting them where they are.
Our innovation is establishing a new model for sustained, successful reentry that prioritizes each person, responds to applicant inquiries in a timely manner and supports people in the parole process for pre-program stabilization.
Prepare Justice-Involved People - Ready 4 Life program is designed as a holistic one year experience that integrates re-entry and housing supports with robust workforce training in the tech industry. In addition, CROP works collaboratively to facilitate the entry into career pathways for living wage employment.
Educate Companies - To create a pipeline for graduate Fellows, CROP forms partnerships with job placement organizations, while also educating and supporting the tech industry to incorporate Fair Chance hiring practices of justice-involved individuals into their company DEI goals.
Advocate for Policies - CROP advocates with local, state, and federal policymakers to reform laws, eliminate employment barriers, and reallocate resources to enable justice-involved people.
CROP is committed to using data to inform our program design and track outcomes.
We monitor readiness indicators across housing, reentry, employment, and social supports. CROP is also tracking important milestones that are critical to successful reentry like securing right to work documents, such as a driver’s license, accessing health care, repairing credit, and saving money.
CROP is partnering with Exygy, a San Francisco-based software engineering firm, to co-design a data platform and resource and eligibility hub. We will be looking at the impact of program participation on recidivism, employment, health, housing placement, and educational attainment as well as self-reported attitudes and behaviors.
CROP is on a mission to reimagine reentry to demonstrate a new model for investing in people over punishment.
This work takes commitment and investment to get it right.
CROP partners with individuals and organizations that are passionate about social change and committed to equity, proximate leadership, and investing, testing and scaling innovative approaches to workforce, housing and criminal justice.
We know and appreciate that every dollar counts and contributes to a common goal.
